I would definitely be interested in reading the second book in the series, Supernaturally, to see how the story and the characters develop. Vampires, werewolves, mermaids, fairies, love, danger, prophecies, conflict, loss…If you like your paranormal fiction in the Young Adult category, you might want to give Paranormalcy a read. My favourite, I think, was either the faery, Reth, or Alisha the mermaid, the latter being a fresh addition to the usual vampire / werewolf / zombie paranormal fare. The storyline was engaging, as were the characters, on the whole. I enjoyed how the various paranormal creatures were present in the story and how they interacted. But the problem is, she isn’t normal.įurthermore, when paranormals begin dying it seems that something or someone is targeting them, but why? And what does it have to do with Evie?
